Centipede Press announces its forthcoming publication of Walton’s Witch House due out by end of year. The new edition restores this Gothic horror tale to the author’s original version without the extensive cuts and reorganization made in 1945. It also includes an introduction by Douglas A. Anderson, Walton’s prologue from the 1951 UK edition and two previously unpublished short stories. Stay tuned for the ultimate release.
I deeply appreciate this website being made. I’ve only read Witch House. Read it at the age of fourteen, and it had a huge influence within my world of the love of fantasy. Not a book for most fourteen-year-olds! I met Evangeline briefly in the 1970s … So interesting to see that blue skin … And I think I said very little, perhaps not knowing what to say. I now dearly wish I could go back in time and tell her how special and wonderful Witch House was for me. Thank you again for this website.
