Walton story in annual MAMMOTH BOOK OF BEST NEW HORROR
Evangeline Walton’s short story, “They That Have Wings”, first published last year in The Magazine of F&SF, has been reprinted in Stephen Jones’s annual collection, The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror, volume 23. I understand this volume is already out in England, and should be out in the U.S. very soon (though the official publication date is October 23rd). Order the book via this Amazon link here. Newly published short story
A previously unpublished story, They That Have Wings, by Evangeline Walton, appears in the November/December issue of Fantasy & Science Fiction magazine. Walton wrote the story during World War II — when the story also takes place. It is one of more than a dozen short stories that Walton never saw in print during her lifetime.
